An educational institution in the city decides to provide each of its learning environments with digital slates and interactive tables. After a time of acquiring these resources, they realize that the teachers are not taking advantage of all the benefits of the new elements of the classroom, so they decide to open a virtual course through the Moodle platform on the pedagogical and didactic management of digital slates, however, after a few weeks of Open course, the managers know that the desertion to the course is the majority, the reason for the teachers is that they do not have time for the course, because of the amount of obligations they have with the institution.
I believe that in the face of this situation it is necessary to provide spaces to train teachers in the management of these technological tools without taking away their personal time, bearing in mind that we as teachers have more responsibilities (family, children, husband, preparation of classes, teaching days, academic commitments, among others).
Before acquiring resources, teachers should be trained, I wish the teaching days were not only to discuss the problems of the school but also to train teachers. It is important to generate motivation for ICTs, and to teach them how to use them correctly, easily and in a short time, and students also need to know about the use of these new technological tools.
Conducting virtual courses to teach about the use of digital slates discourages us as teachers, as there is no humanitarian interaction, personal contact in terms of learning, generates more burden and discourages teachers. If you can do the course but face-to-face and ideally it should be done at the school’s teaching days where all teachers are present.
Run the Howard Gardner multiple intelligences test and this was the result.
A teacher who wishes to enter the era of new information and communication technologies decides every day to use in his class the computers he borrows from the library. His students are happy, however he observes that the first thing they do when they enter the Internet is to open Facebook. He comments on the situation to the institution, so it makes the decision to block on the computers of the institution pages such as facebook, twitter and youtube.
I think it is important to emphasize that due to processes such as globalization, technological development and new forms of communication, teachers must change their attitude and create new learning environments, facebook is a strategy to motivate students, for example a group page can be created in which all students participate by giving their opinion or publishing their works and feedback, participating actively. The teacher or the teacher, you must understand that your students are at an age in which we can get friends and chat are the things they like to do and because it cannot join to that reality, but from an approach of academic achievement, in which you can learn about the different kinds of knowledge that they have and also learn from them, since the human being is a being in permanent learning, a being that is built day by day, learning all the days of your life, and in which education contributes to the development of skills and types of intelligence, as well as in the construction of knowledge.
Social networks are an important factor in the formation of students because they allow them to develop a critical awareness of the social, economic and political reality in which different views and angles of seeing situations of the environment and of society are observed.
